A Better and Enjoyable School (Happy Schools Movement)


     The Department of Education-Region 1 had launched the “Happy Schools Movement” to boost the efficient implementation of the K to 12 basic education curriculum in the Ilocos provinces. Happy Schools Movement in Vigan City was held at Vigan Convention Center (VCC)
The movement wants to make the students feel that every school is comfortable and enjoyable place to learn. This program aims to make the students be active in school and be responsible in attending their classes with the help of some educational tools that will catch the attention of students that will be use during classes and also assignments will be lessen.

     Happy Schools Movement will also help the students and also teachers know their do’s and don’ts. This movement may also be a way to lessen the number of bullying and abuse. In this case it will be easier for the students to be friends with others and it will be more easier to them to approach each other.

     According to an article from Tawid News Magazine, "Researchers confirm that a positive school climate can help decrease absenteeism, suspensions and bullying. Likewise, it increases pupils’ achievement and motivation to learn and improve their psychological well-being. This shows that it’s really more fun in school."

The Celebration of Vigan Solidarity

     Vigan Solidarity aims to strengthen the pride in history and culture of vigan. This aim keeps the 630 heritage structures in 18th and 19th century be preserve for a long period of time.

     Visitors may join the Repazzo de Vigan as a part of their adventure in Vigan. Repazzo deVigan is a parade that is participated by 39 barangays, specially students and members of non-governmental organizations. This parade is followed by Historia Oral. It is an opportunity to know more about Vigan's history, culture, tradition, and more.

    In celebrating their festival, there are different activities and competitions that is being held. An example of this is the choir and singing competition, where the contestants sang Ilocano songs as part of the celebration of the solidarity.


     The celebration of this festival will not be completed without foods. During the celebration of solidarity, there's always a food fair.

     The solidarity is a festival that shows the love of the Ilocano people to their culture and tradition.

WIKA NATIN, SARILING ATIN

     Ang Pilipinas ay may kabuuang 130 wika. Ang walo rito ay ang pangunahing wika ng Pilipinas. Ito ay ang Iloko, Sebuano, Bikolano, Waray, Hiligaynon, Pangasinan, Kapangpangan, at Tagalog.\

Image result for wikang katutubo     Ang pambansang wika ng Pilipinas ay Filipino, at isa sa walong pangunahing wika ng Pilipinas ang naging basehan nito, ang Tagalog. sa kadahilanang maraming mga Pilipino ang nakakaalam ng wikang tagalog.

     Dahil sa pagkakaroon ng iisang wika, nagkakaintindihan ang bawat isa na siyang nagigi9ng dahilan ng pagtutulungan, pagkakaisa, ar pagbabayanihan ng mga Pilipino. ito rin ang nagiging dahilan ng pagiging isa ng Bansang Filipino.
